This amazing tour starts from Riga and runs all the way to the town of Sabile, which is located in the beautiful ancient valley of Abava river.
On the way there we will stop at the popular movie town Cinevilla. Cinevilla is a great place to visit, its like stepping into a time machine – you will see how Riga looked about a hundred years ago. Experience the breath of history, rent some costumes, walk through Cinevilla and take some great pictures.
Next stop will be Jaunmoku palace. This beautiful palace was built in 1901 according to the project of the architect Wilhelm Bokslaf as a hunting palace for the mayor of Riga – George Armitstead. Now the palace is owned by the joint stock company “Latvijas valsts meži” and finally the palace has a decent owner. More about the history and the legend of this palace we will tell you on the way there.
And of course Sabile, town in the beautiful ancient valley of Abava river. Sabile has a lot to offer with its wine making culture, open air museum and the nature around it. This tour includes all the most beautiful parts around Sabile. We will taste some local wine, visit the most northern open-air vineyard in the world, visit the open-air Art Museum at Pedvale and a lot more.
